PREVENTION OF LUNG CANCER ♋️

Prevent lung cancer

(Nucleus Medical Media, 2012)

Eat a healthy diet.

Eating a diet full of fruits and vegetables will reduce the risks of getting lung cancer.

Fruits and vegetables mainly help in improving the immune system of a living organism. If you take a lot of fruits, you are boosting your immunity, therefore reducing the risk of being attacked by various diseases.

Stop smoking.

If you forget about smoking and also second-hand smoking, you will never get into risk of getting infected with lung cancer.

Do a lot of exercise every week.

Doing a lot of exercise will make your body strong and resistant to lung cancer. Exercises make our bodies strong and flexible, and also enhances our health system, by making our bodies fight back the diseases or viruses that may cause a risk to our healthcare.

Avoid second-hand smoking.

Second-hand smoking is breathing in the smoke from a smoking person. This is almost close to the actual act of smoking. It is at equal risk of making somebody get infected with lung cancer.

Test your home for radon.

Radon is produced by the natural breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water, which will eventually become part of the air we breathe in, and will later cause lung cancer. To avoid this, you should often get your home tested for radon gases.

Avoid exposure to asbestos and other carcinogens at work.

Exposure to asbestos and other dangerous substances such as arsenic, chromium and nickel can increase your risk of getting lung cancer, especially if you are a smoker.
